Recent Accomplishments

• Integration of the University of Minnesota and MnSCU's wide area networks, culminating in a policy document to guide collaborative network development entitled The Learning Network Blueprint for Higher Education.

• Network capacity expanded without significant cost increases.

• Introduction of Internet2 statewide.

Outlook

• Increase support for asynchronous learning.

• Continue efforts to collaborate with private colleges.

• Expand voice-over IP services.

• Increase use of video conferencing and streaming as video becomes a more distributed medium.
