COMET (Consortium of Minnesota Educational Telecommunities) is a regional distance learning video network for southeastern Minnesota higher education institutions. COMET is one of the six higher education telecommunications networks that comprise the Learning Network of Minnesota. Services are provided jointly with METNET through the COMET-METNET Partnership. COMET provides a video network to its member institutions. This Internet protocol video standard H.323 network allows for real-time interactive communication between multiple sites over IP networks. Programming includes: credit courses, professional development workshops, customized training, seminars, collaborative planning sessions and administrative meetings. - Online Learning
COMET supports online learning using Adobe Connect for online presentations and web conferencing. - Streaming Media
Along with METNET, other regions of the Learning Network, and MnSCU Streaming media services are available with Kaltura Mediaspace. |
