METNET Connect Services

Adobe Acrobat Connect (formerly Breeze) is an automated system for generating online presentations and participating in online meetings, seminars, and class sessions. Connect presentations are viewable on any platform (PC, Mac, UNIX, Linux, etc.), and any browser that can support the Macromedia Flash 7 player.

The Connect system is composed of two major components: Adobe Connect and Adobe Presenter.

Adobe Presenter – Personalize PowerPoint presentations with your own recorded narration and deliver over them through any standard web browser. Users create Adobe Presenter presentations with PowerPoint and the Presenter plug-in and do not need to know how to use Macromedia Flash or ActionScript. They can record and edit audio narrations for each slide or animation, create quizzes or self-tests, and embed Flash animations and video directly into the presentation. When completed, the presentation is published to the Breeze server where it is converted into Flash and made available via a simple URL. Adobe Presenter presentations can also be downloaded and uploaded to another Web server or burned to a CD-ROM.

Adobe Connect - Enables faculty and staff to conduct online courses, seminars, and meetings right from their desktop computers. During an online meeting, presenters in a meeting can display content such as graphics and presentations, broadcast audio and video, interact using chat and whiteboard tools and gather real-time feedback through polls.
