| Are you ready to chat? Follow the simple steps below to access METChat. Make sure that you have the following: - A METNET Internet account which has been initialized.
- A supported browser
- Windows - IE 5.0 or higher, Netscape 6 & 7, Mozilla, Firefox
- Mac - Mozilla, Firefox
Activate your METChat Jabber account - Open a web browser and go to http://chat.metnet.edu/account. If prompted, log in using your METNET Internet ID and password.
- In the Account Maintenance page type in a password that you will use for accessing the METChat Jabber Web client. If this password will be different from your METNET Internet Account password, be sure to make a note of it.
- Click the Create an Account button. Your account will be initialized.
Go to the METChat Login page to login using the Web Client and begin chatting.
